How to complete defending the broken isles quest? ›

Complete the quest line associated with a zone experiencing a Legion Assault, which will end with a scenario quest that follows the naming scheme "Battle for " (e.g. Battle for Azsuna). Once the scenario quest, regardless of which zone, is turned in, Defending Broken Isles will be marked as complete.

Assaults are a really good way to level through Legion content, but they only happen once every 18 hours - As Legion is no longer considered relevant content, it can be quite easy to miss those timers and not reap the rewards for your alts.

When you turn this quest in, Recruiter Lee (Alliance) or Holgar Stormaxe (Horde) will give you a choice to skip the introductory quest line to the Broken Shore.

In order to unlock the invasions, you need to have completed the quest Uniting the Isles on at least one character. This will unlock World Quests for the other characters on your account, allowing characters level 39 and above to complete Legion Invasions. These quests cannot be completed as part of a raid group.

Accept the quest, The Battle for Broken Shore, from Knight Dameron at coords 19.0, 26.5 (Stormwind Harbor). Travel onto the nearby boat deck southeast to 19.9, 29.4. Speak with Captain Angelica, and select the dialogue box when you are ready to battle the Legion at Broken Shore.
